The Subaru Vivio was a kei car by Subaru, introduced in 1992. With a 658 cc engine and only 70 0 kg weight, it was one of the lightest kei cars. The name "Vivio" is a reference to the engine's displacement of 660 written in Roman numerals (VI,VI,O), and also inspired by the word "vivid". It replaced the Rex that was introduced in the 1970s, and was itself superseded by the Subaru Pleo.Despite its small size, it was roomy enough for its relatively tall profile and large windows. It took part in 1993 round of the Safari Rally and was able to finish in 12th position. It was available as a hatchback and a targa body style.
